The UAE Police have conscripted another vehicle to its lineup for patrolling and this time it is people’s favourite in the Emirates. Yes, you guessed it right, the newly introduced 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser joined the patrolling fleet, which consists of supercars and sports cars from Porsche, McLaren, Ferrari and Bugatti as well as mainstream vehicles like the Genesis GV80.

If you have failed to read our article on the 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser, we would like to inform you about this new off-road machine from the Japanese automaker. The SUV is built on a new TNGA platform and gets a new engine i.e. a twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre V6 replacing the naturally aspirated 5.7-litre V8. The good news is the new mill creates more power – 409 horsepower (305 kilowatts) and 479 pound-feet (650 Newton-meters) of torque – a 30 hp and 80 lb-ft more than the V8.

There is also a diesel mill that develops 305 hp (227 kW) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque, making the new SUV more competent and proficient than the 2021 model – an advantage for the UAE police force.

Moreover, the new Land Cruiser is 441 pounds (200 kilograms) lighter, which again is a boon. The interior has also been enhanced adding more tech and comfort facilities. Al-Futtaim Toyota, the official Toyota dealer in the UAE, handed over 50 Cruisers to the force last Saturday.
