Let’s continue our journey of the 2019 Dubai International Motor Show. Today is the third day of the exhibition, and car enthusiasts are flocking from different parts of the world to marvel at this extravaganza. Next on our list is one of the biggest automakers in the world. Yes, you guessed it right, General Motors (GM).

General Motors

General Motors came at the show with a big lineup from its three marquees – Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac. We can see six new vehicles among 36 in total. The most fascinating among these is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, which the company says is the quickest and most potent Stingray they have ever produced. The 8th-generation Corvette features a new mid-engine layout.

Other prominent offerings at the 2019 Dubai International Motor Show include the all-new 2020 Onix sedan, the 2020 Chevrolet Captiva crossover, and the Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss Z71 (exclusive for the Middle East).

GMC made its presence felt at the 2019 Dubai International Motor Show with the Acadia AT4 and the Sierra AT4.

The American luxury automaker, Cadillac, surprised the crowd with its premium offerings, including the all-new Cadillac CT5 sports sedan, the updated XT5 SUV, and the automaker’s new offering, the XT6, which is a three-row premium SUV for those looking for extra space and comfort.

Talking to media, Christian Soemmer, Managing Director Cadillac International Operations, and Cadillac Middle East stated, “We wanted to use the incredible platform that 2019 Dubai International Motor Show offers to introduce our most aggressive line-up to date to our Middle East customer base.”

“Every element of the first-ever Cadillac CT5 is focused on delivering an unrivaled experience in a sport sedan for our customers. We also debuted the first-ever XT6 and our revamped global bestseller the XT5 completing our full SUV line-up offering our customers even more choice. With even more choice with an XT4, XT5, XT6, and iconic Escalade, our customers can choose from a variety of Cadillac SUVs that all offer a compelling blend of spaciousness, safety and convenience features.”

Ajlani

Meet the new kid in town! Ajlani Motors, another UAE based hypercar brand, just like W Motors. Ajalni displayed their first design prototype of the Drakuma hypercar at the 2019 Dubai International Motor Show. The hypercar will be limited to just 99 units.

ZEDRO Motors

The Middle East is spawning very proficient automakers and another good example is Lebanese luxury and concept car manufacturer, Zedro Motors. The company introduced the ZEDRO Notorious – a 1,250bhp hypercar, which you can customize completely. The automaker allows you to choose anything from its paint, interior leather, stitching, the color of the wheels and finish, to headlights and taillights, as well as drawing of your initials.

Lincoln

Sami Malkawi, regional manager Lincoln Middle East, introduced the 2020 Lincoln Aviator, which will hit the roads in the start of next year. The full-size premium SUV carries a 3.0L six-cylinder twin-turbo engine that generates 400 horsepower. The power goes to all the wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.

That’s a short overview of the 2019 Dubai International Motor Show. The 15th edition is brimming with shining stars from the motoring world. So, if you are a car enthusiast, this is something you would not want to miss out. I’m off for today, but tomorrow I will bring you the highlights of the most stunning cars at the show. Stay tuned!
