With the Coronavirus keeping people home all day in the Middle East (ME), buying a new vehicle is a big challenge. The British automaker MG Motor has an answer. This Ramadan, Morris Garages is launching a new e-platform that will allow customers to select, reserve, and pay for their chosen new vehicles online. Moreover, similar to the Peugeot valet test drive, MG Motor is offering home test drives and new vehicle home deliveries to customers. The E-Platform will be available at MG Motor distributors’ websites in the ME by the end of this month.
Besides, this new e-commerce platform, the company is improving cleanliness at its showrooms and service centers in the Middle East. The MG’s sanitization drive will make sure the customers get their new or serviced cars fully sanitized.
MG Motor is also offering Ramadan discounts on all the available cars including MG HS – the 2020 Middle East Car of the Year, the MG5 – Middle East’s ‘Best Sub-compact Sedan’, the MG RX8 seven-seater SUV, the MG6 compact sedan, and so on. Customers will also receive a 2 years/30,000km free service package.
Besides, the company will make sure that customers can get a full 360o display of the interior and exterior of all available vehicles at MG Motor websites. For every vehicle, the customers will also be able to watch walkaround videos, underlining the vehicle’s features and its comparison to its competitors. This service will be available in different languages.
Tom Lee, Managing Director of MG Motor Middle East, stated: “The automotive industry has seen a major shift in recent months and years, with buyers’ behavior and the window shopping and physical purchase of vehicles in showrooms moving to a more virtual one. According to a recent independent study across the GCC*, 6 out of 10 customers are now willing to purchase vehicles online. With the launch of our new e-commerce platform, we will be able to serve our customers from the comfort of their homes more effectively.”
