The 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo coupe and cabriolet models are unveiled to fill the gap in the 992-gen range between Carrera S and Turbo S. The coupe version costs $170,800 while the cabriolet will set you back $183,600 (excluding $1,350 destination charge).

Under the hood of both the models is a 3.8L, twin-turbo flat-six engine good for 572 horsepower and 750 Newton-meters of torque. This power enables the coupe to sprint from 0 to 96 kilometers per hour in 2.7 seconds while the convertible is just a 0.1 second slower. Both the models max out at 319 km/h.

If you compare these models with the Turbo S coupe and cabriolet, you should know that the S model generates 640 hp and 800 Nm of torque. The 0 to 96 time for Turbo S coupe and cabriolet is 2.6 seconds and 2.7 seconds, respectively. The top speed is 330 km/h. The difference in speed is not much but you have to pay a lot more for the S version. We are talking about $203,500 for the coupe and $216,300 for the cabriolet.

Besides the performance figures, the drivetrain of the 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo is also similar to the Turbo S. The only dissimilarity between the Turbo and Turbo S lies in the braking department. The former has cast-iron brake rotors while the latter has Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes.

There are a number of elements of the Turbo S that you can choose for the Turbo. These include the Lightweight package, Sport package, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control as well as InnoDrive safety assists.

You can order these models today in the US but the deliveries will start next year. The automaker did not reveal when they plan to introduce the 911 Turbo in the UAE.
