Hyundai’s luxury brand stunned the crowd at the ongoing 2020 Chicago Auto Show with its first premium crossover, the GV80. While we did share some of the pictures and details of the 2021 Genesis GV80 earlier, the vehicle looks more imposing at the show. Hold on, today, we will also talk about this crossover’s rumored price.

As shared with you earlier, the Genesis GV80 gives customers a choice of two engines including a 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder pumping out 300 horsepower and a 3.5L turbocharged V6 generating more than 370 hp. Both the mills take help from an eight-speed automatic transmission to either power the rear wheels or all the wheels, which is optional.

Genesis took its time to bring their first offering in the crossover segment and we say the wait was worth the product we have in hand now. The automaker made sure to load it with all the latest tech features including a 14.5-inch, split-screen infotainment system, augmented-reality navigation display (optional), a touchpad controller, as well as active noise-canceling feature for an extremely quiet cabin. Additionally, the driver seat has seven air cells that make the seating ultra-comfortable.

The automaker is still tight-lipped about pricing but we heard the entry-level model might start from US$50,000. Customers selecting the 2021 Genesis GV80 with V6 and all the options ticked will have to shell out around US$65,000. That’s still lower than the premium crossovers from its German rivals.

Stay tuned for more updates!
