The 2021 Chevrolet Traverse has received its mid-cycle update, which brings improved exterior design, renewed interior features, fresh tech, and more standard active-safety facilities.
Look at the front fascia and we see fresh LED headlights and more-angular front grille. These changes give the SUV a stronger appearance. Chevy has incorporated the turn signal indicators in the daytime running lamps and is offering four new wheel patterns, as well.
Get inside and you find new seating options, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8.0-inch driver information display, a panoramic sunroof, and USB charging ports throughout the cabin. The 2021 Chevrolet Traverse still offers the best-in-class cargo volume, which is something families love the most about this utility vehicle.
The real magic happens in the safety department where the automaker has added more driver-assistance systems as standard. We are talking about automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, front pedestrian braking, forward collision warning, and lane-keep assist with lane departure warning, most of which were available as optional equipment in the outgoing model.
That said the best active safety features are still not available for all models. Although some of them such as the adaptive cruise control are now also accessible for the 3LT, RS, and Premier. Previously, only the range-topping High Country had it.
The automaker didn’t reveal if they have changed the powertrain or added more options for the customers. So, it is safe to assume the new Traverse will still be a 3.6L V6 paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The 2021 Chevrolet Traverse will hit the road in the last quarter of this year. The pricing details are still unknown. In the UAE, the 2020 Traverse starts from AED 130,000.
