The highly-anticipated 2021 Audi e-Tron GT will break cover on February 9, 2021, at 1:15 ET via Livestream here. The German automaker also plans to launch the high-performance RS e-Tron GT generating up to 637 horsepower in the last quarter of this year. Audi says it’ll be able to hit 60 mph in less than 3.5 seconds.
The 2021 e-Tron GT will boast an electric motor on every axle to offer an all-wheel-drive and an output of 582 horsepower. The standard e-Tron GT should accelerate from zero to 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds and deliver an approximate 249 miles of range on the European test cycle. It is a lot less compared to the Tesla Model S Long Range that offers EPA-suggested range of 402 miles.
The automaker has previously shown the design of the GT through different pictures of disguised prototypes. The head of design Marc Lichte also revealed earlier that the e-Tron GT will look pretty much like the concept car. Moreover, the interior design and amenities of the EV will be 95% the same. It means we will find the same dual touchscreens presently available for the A8 and A7.
The 2021 Audi e-Tron GT will reportedly come with a price tag of around $100,000 with deliveries starting in the next few months. For more information regarding the performance Sportback, stay tuned.
