Nissan has updated the Sentra sedan and made it appear better than the outgoing model, as well as added extra safety features and a new engine. The 2020 Nissan Sentra sedan competes closely to Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic, thus priced nearly the same as these. It will be available in three trim levels, i.e., Sentra S ($19,090), Sentra SV ($20,270), and the sporty-looking Sentra SR ($21,430). The base model S is $1,100 costlier than the 2019 Sentra.

The 2020 Nissan Sentra gets a brand-new 2.0L four-cylinder engine creating 149 horsepower and 198 Newton-meters of torque. The good news is Nissan is offering Safety Shield 360 suite as standard for added safety.

Those who want to adorn their Sentra with better features can opt for the ‘Premium’ Package (available only on SV and SR). This package brings different facilities for both these trims. For the SV model, it has LED headlights, quilted leather, a power driver’s seat, a moonroof, and a heated steering wheel. The SV Premium package will cost $2,460. The SR Premium package has everything you find on the kit available for the SV, in addition to an eight-speaker Bose audio system, a 360-degree camera, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and illuminated sun visors.

Moreover, customers can choose among different paints, such as two-tone, non-premium paint, single-tone premium, and the two-tone finish with premium paint. All these will cost extra (from $250 to $595).

Although the 2020 Nissan Sentra is priced lower than its closest competitors ($19,750 Civic and $19,600 Corolla), it is still more expensive than the Kia Forte ($17,790), the VW Jetta ($18,895), and the Hyundai Elantra ($18,950).

The arrival of the 2020 Sentra in the UAE is unknown yet, but in the U.S., it will go on sale on January 28, 2020. Stay tuned for the updates!
