The 2018 Honda CR-V went on sale in the United States almost 12 months back and now the Japanese automaker has revealed the Euro-spec model as well.

Powering the 2018 Honda CR-V is a 1.5-liter VTEC turbo petrol engine paired with either a manual or the optional CVT transmission. However, customers can also opt for a 2.0-liter i-VTEC petrol engine mated to two electric motors. Honda calls this the new hybrid system Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD). The gearbox on this hybrid model uses a compact single fixed gear ratio. The i-MMD also manages the powertrain intelligently such that the driver doesn’t have to switch between different driving modes manually.

The new CR-V’s chassis has been revised as well for a better ride quality and improved off-road performance. Honda claims the wheelbase has been stretched to add a little more interior space. The cabin also features new technologies such as a large 7-inch touch display and other amenities borrowed from the Honda Civic.

The price has not been disclosed yet but we can surely expect it to rise compared to the previous model. The deliveries for the petrol version will begin later this year while the hybrid model will arrive next year.
